30 weeks!

hola friends...
i really need to get more organized on this blog. i read everyone else's and they look so well put together.... something to think about.

i hope everyone had an amazing holiday! ours was perfect! i cannot wait to celebrate with two kiddos next year, soooo much more fun with children. :)

in all the madness and fun times.. that belly happened!

How far along? 30 weeks, 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: ahem, COUGH ::9!!:: COUGH. What? it was the holidays... (shame faced).
Maternity clothes? pretty much all maternity except for ribbed tanks and one pair of jeans i can use my belly band with. not as comfortable as leggings though.
Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: would be great, if my nose didnt get so stuffy at night. but poor little ava's nose does the same, so i'm thinking we should start taking some Claritin around these parts.
Best moment this week: hearing that i passed my glucose test! i was actually worried about it because i have been downing sugar like it's going out of style. all is well, though. thank goodness, i really dont think i'd survive a three hour glucose test!

Miss Anything? missing not getting acid reflux every single night. i feel like a dragon at about 9pm religiously! ouch :(

Movement: lots. she also likes to wedge her foot in my right rib. pretty comfortable when i sit <-- sarcasm="sarcasm">

Food cravings: hot dogs! i've had a couple (Shhhh...) and they give me horrible heartburn. annnnd still lots of chocolate, which also gives me heartburn? who ever thinks they'll get heartburn from chocolate. weird.

Anything making you queasy or sick: the husband got a deer just before the season was over. the ONLY thing that makes me queasy is the smell of the blood. and i can smell it clear across the room. needless to say, i dont cook it.... or eat it really because i'm paranoid?..

Labor Signs: lots of braxton hicks still... doc says it's normal. i really should be drinking more water though.. hard to drink cold water when it's cold outside. (wah, i know).

Belly Button in or out? In! do those things go back in if they come out? my friend and i would like to know.

Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: another doc appt next week. starting my every two weeks appointments. which would be even more fun if i actually got to SEE her once in a while. i think i have one more ultrasound before she's born to see what position she's in. (i'm guessing she's head down currently with her feet in my ribs, but that's just a guess). also, my amazing ma-in-law already bought Scarlett's crib. being shipped as we speak. we're moving ava up to a full sized bed and scarlett will take ava's crib mattress. lots to do, lots to do. and lastly, i would love to say that the nursery will be painted by next weekend... but lets not hold our breath on that one. let's just go ahead and cross our fingers. (hint hint, andrew baney).

Your Baby:

◦Weighs about three pounds and is 17 inches long. Since most full-term babies are between 20 and 22 inches long at 40 weeks’ gestation, your baby will pack on more pounds than inches in the 10 weeks or so.

◦Is starting to get a little crowded in there, but still has room to wiggle and roll and punch and kick.

◦Despite all the movement, it’s still damn near impossible to tell what position your baby is in for sure (head down, breech, transverse, etc.), but it’s also still too early to be worrying about it. MOST babies settle into a head-down position around 36 weeks, and some still manage to flip themselves around after that.

You:

◦May feel like you’re gestating a pissed-off housecat rather than a chubby wittle baby at this point, with some movement and kicks causing ACTUAL PHYSICAL PAIN. Some women experience kicks so sharp and unnerving they mistake them for uterine contractions, even if they’ve already been through pregnancy and labor and should really know better.

◦Some of these women may even write pregnancy guides on the Internet.

hope you guys have a great week!
