weekend rundown, 34 weeks, and a giveaway link! {the mushy mommy}

we have painted the nursery! praise the Lord. took a little shoving-the-husband, but nevertheless... it's done. and it is gorgeous.

i was a little worried at first, but i think i love the final product. next up is getting her name up behind the crib and doing some giant poms in the right hand corner in yellow, white, and maybe a darker gray. thank goodness for the next few weeks. :)

i also went a little "newborn" crazy at the baby store. i realized i had maaaybe 10 newborn bodysuits (everyone got sizes up, which is great!) and absolutely NO sleepers. so... i decided to go ahead and fix that.

told you i went crazy... my bestie, kath actually bought the top left set. look at that giant bow. so sweet.

34 weeks:

How far along? 34 weeks, 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: gained 15+
Maternity clothes? yes.
Stretch marks? sure enough. right at the home-stretch, and by stretch i mean i have marks. under my belly button. boo. i'm not mad about it, though. two beautiful girls to show for it!
Sleep: sleep is better. i've found that a pillow between the legs is key. and also, the chiropractor whom i will be seeing on friday :)
Best moment this week: Scarlett dropping! i could tell almost instantly one morning when i woke up. she was most definitely much lower than she had been and... I COULD BREATHE!
Miss Anything? not having acid reflux!!
Movement: all the time.
Food cravings: chocolate (thank you valentines day!)
Anything making you queasy or sick: just the severe acid indigestion. horrible.
Labor Signs: braxton hicks, still. i talked to the ol doc. he ran a test, just to make sure we werent going to have an early start to labor. gladly, nothing to worry about. just need to suck down more water, put my feet up, and try to relax more (he doesnt know my 3 year old, i snorted when he said "relax").
Belly Button in or out? i would saaayyyy "flat".
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: getting more of the nursery done. i think i've talked the hub into making some floating shelves (whyyyy are shelves so expensive!?), ordering a crib set because the skirt color i picked is just too hard to match, ordering a dresser. tax returns are coming JUST in time.

now... i'm going to share something amazing with you. are you ready for this?
please check this lovely lady out. she's so sweet, i've really enjoyed following her for a couple of weeks now. she's going to be an amazing mommy! also, she's hosting this giveaway with three other fabulous women. hop over there and check out the sweet stuff included in this ginormous giveaway!

i hope you all have a GREAT start to your week!

  1. I did the EXACT same thing with newborn clothes. Tons of little onesies and outfits and no sleepers. Oops! I can't wait to see your finished nursery. Good luck!
