there is nothing else in the whole world like reading a book and being taken away to another place. i have absolutely no preference in what kind of books i read. i love them all (if written well, of course). as long as the author can put me in that place, i'm there. it's like an escape, and i need to make more time to do that.
have to have my morning coffee... it's pretty much a necessity now. caffeine, please.
i'm well aware that i was born in the wrong decade. i am obsessed with all things vintage. anything 70's, a lot of things from the 60's. i love the music, i love the style of clothes and furniture... it's kind of scary, actually. and if i had the time and money, everything in my house and wardrobe would look a lot different than it does now. and if my hair would hurry up and grow out i could have hippie girl hair like this and i would never have to do anything to it.
i cannot put into words how excited i am that conan is back on tv. even if i dont like the guests he has on, i watch the first few segments with him and andy, and i am at peace. i usually cant stay up that late, but the show goes perfect with my morning coffee. :0) a few laughs first thing in the morning is sure to bring a good day, right?!
i love buying the cutest clothes for ava. my sister-in-law (candace) and mother-in-law (mama sandie) are awesome at helping me with her clothes. i really really reeeeeally want to start making her some. i have a really creative mind and it needs to be put to work. this coat is absolutely adorable (you can find it on etsy.com, manimina). i dont see why i wouldnt be able to make something like it. maybe not as WELL made, but i feel like if i put time, love, and care into what she wears and just her every day life that she will grow up with the same qualities. and hopefully this creativeness will inspire her to be creative with whatever she wants to do in life. i mean, honestly, what mom doesnt want their kid to grow up and just be an AMAZING person!
and lastly, for today, lindt lindor milk chocolate truffles. only because as i get off of my computer, i'm going to go workout. and while i workout... i'm going to be dreaming of these. they are my absolute favorite. it's very hard to say no to these. which is why i dont have any. perfect for the holidays, though. i'll be stuffing my face with all of the holiday cooking anyway, so why no treat myself to something spectacular?? :0) everyone has their way of making it ok in their head. this is just what i tell myself to make it ok.
BUT, with that said.. i'm setting a goal for myself (a ridiculously realistic one, at that). i'm going to lose 10lbs by the new year. if i lose more, that's great. i dont want to push myself, because then i get discouraged. so here goes. and if it works, i will share all secrets!
Love this! Hope you're getting into The Hunger Games! I can recommend a few more when you finish that trilogy.
ReplyDeleteThat coat is adorable & I bet you could totally do it, especially with Mom helping you as needed. Get her to show you the blue corduroy dress she made me when I was in Kindergarten! I think she was about your age when she did it.
