decking the halls!

this is the year i was going to skip. the last year i could probably get away with before ava realized what was going on. and thennnn we were nominated to hold christmas eve brunch. :)

totally ok with that. just means decorating! and that took me no time at all. especially since i kind of stuck with the same layout as last year since it seemed to flow pretty well. we hardly decorated at all outside (a wreath and a red bow on the tree). so inside is where it's at.. and let me tell you... it is going to be a BLAST keeping ava away from all the breakables. haha.

here are a few pictures of the abode.

the tree! not the most coordinated tree ever, but it's us! we have a lot of

ornaments andy made as a child and a couple that we received for ava over the past 2 years.

excuse dora. i have to keep this area fun and ava friendly since this is her scene.

the snowmen on the console sing and dance and the snowman on the right is a card holder.

no fireplace (sad face... next house) so we use the bar for our stocking holders
and all of the snowman figurines we've acquired from both of our families!



this is the place mat set we got from my aunt cheryl on my dads side last year.
i LOOOVE it! used a glass snowflake ornament for the napkin ring.




ava helped me make the centerpiece! used an old vase andy got me 4 years ago
and ava stuffed ornaments and tinsel down in there. she's so crafty. :-)

and that's the house! ava has been watching all of the christmas shows on tv (not really into them yet, but there are moments). and i have my christmas tree scented candles to make it seem like our tree is real, hehe. cant wait to see everyone for the holidays!
