i heart tattoos [a link up]

i got my FIRST tattoo when i was 18 years old with my older brother.
this isnt that tattoo... that's for another day.
this is about my FOURTH tattoo. i have 7 all together. although you wouldnt know i had any if i had my hair down and a tshirt on. i love them all. i dont regret any. there are meanings behind them all and the ones i plan on getting are equally important. most of my family are the opposite, having none... (my brother has two that i know of, that's all). my husband, however, has 10 or 11, i think. (he's a former marine... that's how he spent his time)


ANYWHO!

i was living in California (high desert, Twentynine Palms... never go there). it was 2008.






where i saw this the first time...

needless to say... i was bored. so my friend kath came out and we decided we wanted tattoo's. my husband was in iraq at the time and she came to keep me company. andrew had already become friends with an artist so all i had to do was show up...

to sum it up... this is what i got...

i've been through a lot in my life and no matter what happens, i always try to keep it together and get back up and start all over again. it's a great symbol and i love, love, love it! :)
