Ohhhhhh, do I know how to disappear or WHAT!

My desktop computer was out of service for AGES (ok, only a year... that is a LOOONNNG time!) so I had been using my husbands work, laptop. Pretty awful to use so I always found excuses not to get on this.

Well, my friends.... operation "restore-desktop" was a success this weekend! WOOT WOOT!

I'm thinking about re-doing the whole blog... but that can wait right this second because....

THIS precious girl turned 2 months last Friday. It's flyiiinnnggg by!

Weight: 11lbs 14oz! Chunky Monkey :)

Health: Couldn't be healthier!

Sleep: She actually hit a new record the night before last... 7 hours! WHAT! My boobs were so engorged that they were about to EXPLODE, but I will *take it!!* :) She also sleeps A LOT during the day, still. She's up maybe 4 hours total during the day. I want her to stay awake more, but I know I will regret saying that very soon. So I'm trying to take advantage.

Social: She is such a ham! She loooves to smile and coo. She has this owl toy that was given to me at my baby shower. I hook it on her bouncer or swing and she will just laaaugh and smile and kick and hit. Cutest thing ever.

Diet: Breast milk! She eats about every 2 and a half to 4 hours during the day. At night it goes from 2 and a half to 7 hours. I try to just let her tell me when she's hungry, but if I wake up and she's still sleeping, I will change her and feed her and usually she stays asleep the whole time! :)

Clothes: She's officially in 3 month clothing. I'm sure she could even fit into 6 month bottoms. Home girl is not small... at all. I couldn't love her rolls more! She's in size 1 diapers, and they're getting a little small. She could probably wear size 2, but we still have 1's to go through. Also, I bought some Target brand diapers to try. I've heard such great things and with 50 diapers for only $7, I HAD to try. *Love Them*. Please try them. Especially with young ones who poop and pee every 10 minutes. Life. Changed.

Baby Gear: Still looooving the Rock 'N Play. I fear she may be out-growing this one soon, though. She likes the bouncer and swing for short periods of time. Sometimes I lay the changing pad on the floor in the living room and she will look around or sometimes even fall asleep on it. She's been holding her head up for about a month now. It may be time to clean off the exersaucer and invest in a walker! It'll be here before I know it. :)   :(

Crying: The crying is getting less and less. Most of the time it's a pitiful whine. I can usually tell the difference between hungry and gassy now. PLEASE invest in gas drops, if you're expecting. You will need them. Especially if you're breastfeeding.

Likes: She likes LOVES her big sister, Ava, talking to her. Ava has no idea that her voice is already high-pitch. She hears us talking to Scarlett in a high-pitch voice (yes, I'm one of those. Can you really help but do it? I've tried. Dont judge me...) so she's just mocking us, but it is the funniest thing to hear a nearly 4 year old baby-talking a baby... Scarlett also loves her owl, as mentioned before. I take it everywhere. Carseat, bouncer, swing, play mat. Best gift ever!



8 weeks PP



Postpartum: I'm still at the same I was a month ago. I finally got the ok from the doctor at 6 weeks and still havent done any exersices. Today was my first time back in the game and I did 100 squats + 20 minutes power-walking on the treadmill.... my legs are jello.

Milestones: sleeping through the night, smiling, cooing, reaching, increased tummy-time.

Seriously, though.... I am going to try my best to show my blog some love. :)

so... i've been seeing a couple pieces of the peter rabbit collection from baby gap on a few different mommy blogs. thennnn i got an email from gap this morning and just clicked on it. i fell in love. whoopsieeee...

in other news, the crib came in today and my sister in law loaned me somethings that her youngest has grown out of until her next pregnancy. i currently have: a carseat, a bouncer, a swing, a co-sleeper, bottle warmer, wipe warmer, and lots of other knick knacks. i've been buying clothes here and there (see yesterdays post). my shower is this saturday and i'm getting sooo excited! hopefully there will only be a few more things needed before my second little princess gets here. cant wait to snuggle both of my girls together.

weekend rundown, some cutie clothes for kiddo's, and 32 weeks

so impressed by my own craftiness with wrapping presents this weekend

first off, i had a pretty eventful weekend. saturday, i started brunch with a bridal shower for my gorgeous cousin, megan. so much fun! good girl-time and yummyyyy food. i had been craving shrimp & grits. craving - fulfilled.

after the shower i went over to my mom-in-laws and we fiddled around with her new dry-erase board for a new weekly picture tactic. think it turned out pretty. beats the bathroom mirror snapshots. :)

 

then, because it's MLK weekend and the sales are great, i drug her out to the outlet mall. our first stop was osh'kosh. they were having a decent sale, but just didnt have enough tiny clothes for scarlett like i was hoping. so we walked next door to carters. o.m.geeeeee. my mother-in-law overwhelmed herself as soon as we walked in. i think we stayed in the front corner of the store alone for about 30 minutes, just dying over how sweet those little girl clothes were.

we ended our weekend with my best friends son's 2nd birthday party. i cannot believe he's already 2! and that ava will be 4 this year... and that i'll have a 5 month old then! sighhhhhh... already TOO FAST!


How far along? 32 weeks, 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: gained 15, ugh
Maternity clothes? yes.
Stretch marks? some new ones ON my belly button. really regretting that stupid belly ring now.
Sleep: most nights good. andy woke me up the other night and told me to get off of my back. it can be bad for baby for me to lay flat on my back (google the reason, i cant remember details), so he rolls me on my side. and lots more potty trips.
Best moment this week: buying the girls matching outfits! i didnt want to be that mom, but it's too hard to fight it.
Miss Anything? not retaining so much water. i have to drink a million gallons now. so hard!
Movement: SO.MUCH! lots of hiccups.
Food cravings: woke up craving moes... soooo guess where i'm going for lunch?! ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: just the severe acid indigestion. horrible.
Labor Signs: same with the braxton hicks. i've been doing better about drinking water, so they arent as regular as they were before.
Belly Button in or out? In! but barely.

There's a secret i've been hiding from you. a pretty amazing one...my mother-in-law is building up her own photography company.. and it's about to get BIG.

She's been a teacher for a very long time, which is amazing in itself, and is wanting her forever-after job/passion/career of photography to start with no interruption.

well, i follow her blog here and i seriously check it every day for the updates. this girl is so much fun! and super mom, i dont know how she finds the time to do half of the stuff she gets into! i need her energy bottled.

recently, in lieu of all that's been going on in the world, she found a way to give back. not only for one reason, but TWO. if you havent been to Jessica's blog, please do so STAT. you are missing out. plus, she has the most precious daughter and i want to pinch her little cheeks so bad.

she held a giveaway for Little Hip Squeaks (etsy shop) for the most adorable infant christmas tree hat. and i wonnnnn! i cannot wait to get little Scarlett in this hat next year! not to mention, the rest of this store has the cutest stuff. i've already pinned half of the store on my pinterest page.

WHERE has the time gone?!

SLACKER STATUS!

where in the WORLD has the time gone?!

after thanksgiving, we had andy's bday and here, there, and in between

i've been christmas shopping, decorating, and cleaning.

it has FLOWNNN by!!

here's a little recap of the time i've missed.

1) xmas photo shoot with my ma in law 2). ava pulling a link off of the xmas chain in her xmas pjs
3). xmas tree with only half of the presents 4). avas first year not crying with santa! though, she does look frightened. i'll take it!

my amazing husband turned 26. he's so awesome. love that man.

OH, well... hello there, bumpy. this was at 25 weeks, but it'll do.

How far along? 26 weeks today

Total weight gain/loss: 4lbs! considering the baby weighs almost 2lbs, i'm thinking the other two would be all the m&m's, hot chocolate, and cookies i've been eating lately... just a thought
Maternity clothes? ohhhhh yes. anything that goes around the waste MUST be maternity. as long as shirts are extra long or babydoll style, i'm safe. the dress i have on above is just a juniors dress from Ross. $11.. pretty amazing.

Stretch marks? nope.

Sleep: it was getting a little rough, due to my stuffy preggo nose. but let me just say... Breathe Right Strips... UH-MA-ZING. i had never tried them before, but i was desperate for a good nights sleep. ummm... it's like a sleeping pill. i put that thing on, climb into bed, and i am dunzo.
Best moment this week: ava finally getting to feel her sister! i was getting a little worried. andrew and i feel her all the time. but whenever i try to let ava feel her moving, scarlett would stop. i didnt/dont know whether to take that as ava calming scarlett, or scarlett not being a fan. she finally kicked for her big sister this week and ava was sooooo excited. cutest thing ever. <3>
Miss Anything? not getting winded trying to get out of bed in the morning! kind of regretting this low bed right about now.
Movement: girls going to be a soccer player, for sure!
Food cravings: chocolate, chocolate, candy chocolate, hot chocolate... you get it.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not a thing.
Labor Signs: lots of braxton hicks... such a weird feeling.

Looking forward to: or NOT looking forward to my glucose test in a couple weeks. the.worst. i am looking forward to the third trimester, christmas, the new year, and my baby shower! which is all back to back... then scarlett gets to show her pretty face.

18 weeks

18 weeekssss!!

almost halfway!

this week has been rough. ava came down with croup, for the second time ever. awful awful awful. i thought she was having an asthma attack!

turns out, croup can turn into asthma if it keeps coming back. great.

tomorrow andrew's work is having a company picnic/party!

excited to meet everyone. they all seem great. and he works with his dad, so that's a plus.

last weekend my sister-in-law and her fam came down. my nephew corgan is right behind ava in age. and they are BEST FRIENDS, as ava reiterates every 5 minutes. "CORGAN IS MY BEST FRIEND!!!" i love it!

the grandparents took those two to the pumpkin patch and they had a BLAST from what i hear... and see (see below).

fun, fun times!! those two are pea's in a pod. :)

so here we go... 18 weeks. almost 19!



How far along? 18wks, 6daysTotal weight gain/loss: havent weighed lately, but i'm assuming ive gained looking at this picture...

Maternity clothes? little here and there. mostly pants. trying to stay in leggings now that the weather is cool.
Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: aside from a sick toddler, sleeping GREAT!
Best moment this week: lots of movement!
Miss Anything? not peeing every 5 minutes. and it's only going to get worse.
Movement: much much more. especially after my morning coffee. she gives me a "good morning" roll around. :)
Food cravings: still mexican. made shrimp and grits like i said i would. and some yummy carrot cake cupcakes. (are you seeing where that belly came from now?!). some carne asada fries sound AMAZING right about now.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope. and andy made more deer meat the other night. cube steak. and it smelt glorious. so i'm thinking i may try a bite or two next time he cooks some.

17 weeks

IT'S A GIRL!!

the cold weather is cominngggg!!

and with it, is coming a bigger belly and bigger clothes.

which is ideal for cooler weather... not so much for summer.

so THAT, in itself, is why this pregnancy is so amazeballs (i said it).today was my 16 week checkup (bc my doctor is a week behind me on the due date... i know the DAY i conceived, so we'll just have to see who's right when 

 the time comes).

let me just say... THE worst feeling a preggo woman can get, is not one.. but TWO nurses saying they cant find the heartbeat. dont get me wrong, they were very confident that Little Girl was just hiding, and very nice... BUT STILL!!!!! needless to say, my doctor came in and found the heartbeat in 2.5 seconds. that's why he's my doctor, people. i love him!

that being said, Bean has a very strong, healthy, happy heart rate of 150bpm.

i will say. andy and i have officially agreed on the first name. not the middle yet, still feeling around for it. just has to click. especially being a southern lady. we use our middle names often. and by often, i mean every time we get into trouble :).

it starts with an "s"... that's all i'm saying for now. still not sure if we're going to announce it early or wait until she's born.

we shall seeeee!!

enough of the jabber, here's what's new with the survey:

How far along? 17wks, 6days

Total weight gain/loss: gained 2lbs back!! i knew it wouldnt be long.
Maternity clothes? yes, and still mostly yoga pants and leggings. going to the gym more now at least gives me a reason to be in gym clothes. :)
Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: AH-mazing sleep... amazing!
Best moment this week: ava saw her baby SISTER on saturday! we were told we were having another little lady! i think andy started shopping for another shotgun immediately. what does this mean? means, we may not be done having kids yet. we have one more shot at a boy. either way, the next one's the last. and that one wont be here for another 5 years! :)
Miss Anything? nope! nothing.
Movement: YES! people, we have movement! mostly the big rolls and strong kicks. not enough to feel every nudge yet. but i'm loving the one-on-one moments we get to have with each other.
Food cravings: mexican mexican. and actually some shrimp and grits. think i'll make that this weekend. noted.
Anything making you queasy or sick: hopefully the deer meat was a fluke, bc my husband shot his first deer last weekend and it's at the processor as we speak. we're about to find out.
Have you started to show yet: yes, i think people can definitely tell now. no questions yet, thank goodness. maybe i should tell people "no, i'm not pregnant" when they ask. dont people know that's rude?! what if i wasnt... :(

16 weeks!

16 weeks!!

this pregnancy is a breeeeeeze compared to my first!

not sure if it's because i'm back home, or the weather is better,

or just because i know what to expect.

but i've only had one preggo meltdown (aka: irrational crying)

whereas with ava... i was a complete and utter mess. the whole time.

needless to say, i'm not even halfway through this one. so i should probably be knocking on wood. but i think it's going to be great. and i'm so excited!

weeee get to find out what we're having THIS saturday!!

andrew has prepared himself for another girl.

i think we both know it's coming.

if not, i will be pleasantly surprised...

and if so, i will be excited to say... I TOLD YA SO! :)

How far along? 16wks, 6days
Total weight gain/loss: i've lost 4 pounds since i got preggo.. dont ask me how. i couldnt lose the weight before to save my life!
Maternity clothes? yes, and yoga pants, gym shorts. i have ONE pair of jeans that still fit. but not after i eat a meal. those suckers come unbuttoned.

Stretch marks? nope.
Sleep: slept so hard last night, i woke up with a strained back. so that's fun. but cant complain about a good nights rest!
Best moment this week: we went to go see Hotel Transylvania. SO CUTE! i think we might go see it again this weekend. :) Also, ava got her first taste of classic disney movies. we watched Lady and the Tramp, Alice and Wonderland, and Hercules. she's in love! (and singing "i can go the distance" in her room right now as she plays dress up.. sweetest moments).
Miss Anything? not a thing. in fact, i read a blog the other day about someone's drinking night and how they couldnt remember anything and i said out loud TO myself "i do not miss that... at all". i dont mind being around the drinkers, i'm the official DD for the next 5 months! probably longer.

Movement: do braxton hicks count? i got my first one the other night! i didnt think they came this early, but there it was. Hard ball of muscle contracting. makes me exciteddd!

Food cravings: MEXICAN!!! STILL! haha. i was going to make enchiladas tonight, but i dont think i'll make it to the grocery store walking like a hunchback with this back strain. but i think we may do mexi this weekend.

Anything making you queasy or sick: DEER MEAT!!! which makes me so so sooooo sad. my husband didnt hunt at all last year (we just got a boat, so fishing took over), so i was REALLY excited that he was back at it this year. i have an AMAZEBALLS venison lasagna recipe, tastes like stouffers! but he brought some home that he got from his buddy at work, and while he cooked it, i got more and more nauseous. so i was gagging and tearing up at the same time because i was so sad that i wouldnt get to eat it.

Have you started to show yet: yep, got a little bun in there.

15 weeks

so, it's kind of obvious that my chalkboard project wont be done

as soon as i'd hoped. BUT i'm still getting pictures.

it's hard to be pregnant with a 3 year old! woof!

it's officially fall and the leaves and weather are changing.

it makes me sooooo happyyyyy!!! fall has always been my fav.

i've been going nuts on pinterest.

maybe i'll start doing my "how pinteresting" wednesdays again.

How far along? 15wks, 4days

Total weight gain/loss: havent weighed myself... but i'm feeling ok about my weight either way. it's normal to have gained 5lbs by now and i dont think i've gone over that. (the hard part will be around thanksgiving :-/)
Maternity clothes? now that the weather is getting cooler, i've been wearing mostly leggings. if not, i'm in a maxi dress/skirt. anything comfortable.

Stretch marks? nope.

Sleep: really well! i'm starting to feel my energy come back. i got up with the husband around 630 this morning and i feel great.

Best moment this week: sunday night at the in-laws. my ma-in-law made me chicken croquettes for my bday dinner. guys, if you havent had them... you are not living. thank me later, after youve tried them. also, fall tv is back and i got the first bit of it last night........ 2 broke girls is too funny.

Miss Anything? not yet. i havent quite hit the halfway point so i'm sure i'll be missing stuff soon enough. so much to look forward to!

Movement: not yet, but every time my stomach has a twitch i get excited. it's about that time when i'll get to feel something. and nobody else gets to feel it for a while. our special bonding time. :)

Food cravings: MEXICAN!!! i made tacos last night and i'm already planning my enchiladas for the weekend. absolutely over sweets. especially after so much cake and chocolate for my bday. this pregnancy i've craved more salty things.

Anything making you queasy or sick: nope, in fact i'm planning on trying to NOT take my b6 & unisom this weekend to see if i am, in fact, done with the morning sickness. it's been a miracle worker the whole first trimester.

Have you started to show yet: yess, little beer belly.

Gender prediction: still think girl! and thank goodness i dont know, bc i went to carters the other day and i would have BOUGHT the entire girl section.

Looking forward to: painting and decorating the nursery. i've already got my wall colors picked out. it'll be unisex... something we can add color (blue or pink) to once we find out.
